Added capability for users to change their own profile info online. After update Treasurer is notified by eMail and he may review adjust as needed.
Added news relative to instructions about logging into the site.
Added news about new way to distribute newsletters. 267 went out by eMail this month saving postage and printing costs as well as effort to collate mail.

Fixed problems with access to newsletters
Some newsletters not accessible others giving wrong newsletter.
Fixed problems for users with IE where some pages in competition section not functional with IE.
Added News Article/Event IRKS t both events as well as web calendar.
Added voting 2010 officers.
Added Dues payment reminder with PayPal links both US and Foreign.
Cleaned up Hall of Fame Page and reversed order so newest is at top of the list.
Cleaned up the Links Page to a consistent format.
Added Favorite Links section in right hand column to randomly show some of our vendos in links area. Only those with product are being shown others i.e. organizations etc. remain in links section.
Update 10/09/09 Solved the navigation with newsletters and improved look and feel. Also resolved proberlm for users with IE access to newsletters.
Update 10/8/09 Added El Toro Plan to the library under Newsletters and Plans. Put the listingso f newsletters and plans into database tables to improve ease of adding new items to each. Added programmingto access the new tables for plans and newsletters. Revised funtionality of the Newsletters and plans , but still need to do a little more to improve navigation in the unerlying application. It is usable as is but requires to login for each functionality. Will be fixed soon!
Update 10/1/09 Problem reported by John Haffner using IE and the Plane+Competition menu item that blocked access to the section and sub categories. Problem is resolved.
Update 9/30/09 Replaced the Eligible Planes with updated file from John Haffner and put into a SEARCHABLE Database.
Added note to home page login area to advise members not to login here to gain access to newsletters.
Update 9/29/0 Reworked the Eligible Planes and Competition Info Section adding sub-menu item to help navigation. Internally set up Sections and categories for articles to help manage the content easily.
Update 9/28/09 Reworked the NEWS page into separate articles and added 3 categories to manage articles. Used expiration dates on articles as well as some that just stay in place.
Update 9/27/09 Added a Web Caledar to the Events Menu to summarize events that we list in detail.
Also revised events page to show content of the PDF as well as making it printable at same time.
Update 9/18/09 Event in Oregon is removed / cancelled.

Site UPDATE: 14, Sept 2009
This is a new impemetation of the VR/CS website. Launched 9/14/09
The new site is based upon a content management system JOOMLA! version: 1.5
All the existing content has been migrated to the new site with this implementation.
Look for future updates to the site that will add content as well as new fuctionality.
If you have ideas or things to contribute please let us know.
Navigation is now via a menu on the top left of each screen.
New with this implementation:
1. Photos are now contained in the Photo Gallery. All on hand photos have been incorporated in albums and moved to the photo gallery. Any member wishing to add phots or annotate phots may contact the webmaster and you will be assigned right to manage pictures.
2. Links now has a second page where we have useful hobby industry links for Trade Shows, Retailers, Suppliers etc. If you have suggestions about items to add please contact the webmaster with that information
3. The VRCS Yahoo Group is integrated with this website now. You may go directly to the group from this site. If not a member you may also sign up from this site.
4. All the content on the site is in the form of published articles. Each article will show date updated and can be automatically removed once the relevant date associated with that article has past. Likewise, articles can be preentered and will start to be visible only once the publish date is current.
5. The pictures showing up on most pages come from our photo gallery and will change each time you land on any page so that there is an ongoing pictur show as you pass through the pages on the site.
6. Functionality is added that adds three icons to each article on the website (with some exceptions) and you may create a PDF from the article for your own use, print or eMail the article to someone else.
7. There is now an opportunity to increase the text size on your screen - Use one of the three A's at the top left of the screen to increase or decrease font size to your liking.
8. The menu has been simplified to better assist navigation including sub menu selections when there are multiple choices.
9. A search function is now built into the site to help you find an item within the website.
